Mult. CH. Standfast Angus was out of Ch Westley Ramona's first litter. She was mated to Ch Mjaerumhogda's Crusader, a Norwegian import who came to England for two years. Crusader was bred and owned by one of Norway's top breeders, Greta Sophie Mjaerum. Crusader had all English breeding on his sire's side and behind his dam is nearly all Camrose breeding. He was awarded a CC from Mrs Joan Tudor during his stay in England.

Angus has Christopher on both sides of his pedigree. He has won 54 CAC's 20 Res CACs and 40 BOB. His wins include 15 BIS and 8 Groups, the majority of which were International. He has been BOB at the Championship Show of the Dutch Breed Club with an entry of 900 Goldens, and three times he was Best Male. At the Golden Club Show in Belgium he was BIS three years in a row. In 1994 he was the Top Gundog in the Netherlands, the first time a Golden has won this title and 5th in All Breeds. In 1990 he was the Junior World Champion and preceeding that he took the Top Golden Honours in '91', '92' and '93' becoming the World Champion. At the '93 World Show he was awarded the Reserve in the Gundog Group.

His official titles were: Dutch, German, VDH, Luxembourg, Argentina Champion, Junior World Champion '90, World Champion '91.'92 and '93 Belgium Winner '93 German Clubsieger '94, Dutch Clubwinner '95, European Champion '95 and Amsterdam Winner '96. His Certificates and titles were won under 46 different judges. He was a very influential sire on the Continent. His children have won more than 100 CACs and have been the Top Winning Goldens in Holland. He has sired 33 Champions including a World Champion, Group and BIS winners. 3 of his daughters are World Champions too. His litter brother Standfast Augustus was a full English Champion and also sired an English Title Holder.
