CC and RCC tables for 2008

Champions list 1900 to 2008. The list includes number of litters and offspring for each dog.

Background

The data base consists of all recorded registrations from 1900 to the present day. It is presented together with recorded show records from 2004 plus other show records during the 80's which have been entered by Carol Gilbert of the Okus affix. All records are constantly updated, approx 10,000 new ones a year and other features are added to enhance the data. Pedigrees up to 7 generations can be accessed with their COI and RC to 20G.

Full details of siblings, offspring and families are available. The accuracy of all the English data can be verified and data can only be entered by myself. Overseas dogs are now added on request provided they have English links.

Trial matings can be carried out and the ancestry of any dog can be traced back to the beginning of the century with a click on 'Tail'. Hip and elbow scores registered with the BVA are recorded in the pedigrees and a Hip Stats table in the main menu gives you the mean score of current stud dogs from 1990 who have had 10 or more offspring scored. By panning across the data you can see the score boxes into which the progeny falls. Mean scores are also in individual records in the main data base. Ch Dogs have a date in the title, showing the year in which he/she was made up and by clicking on the 'Show Record' you can see all the wins with full details of the shows, dates, classes etc. going back to 2004.

Before 1982 when the records were entered into computers, duplicate names were allowed. This affects the pedigrees so the duplicates now have the year of birth in the title to make them unique. When the early data was merged into the computer it was obvious that some dates of birth were incorrect as well as a percentage of the sires. This was because of the extended pedigrees of unregistered dogs. Often a breeder only registered the dog he kept and if a litter mate was registered several years later when she was bred from, the date of birth of the dam was not always correct. Some question marks are therefore set by the side of these dates, but the recorded ones have been left in.

The pedigrees have 'heat coding' which goes from deep red to pale pink depending on the depth of the inbreeding. Boxes at the bottom of the pedigree give you the percentage of inbreeding. You can also bring up the litter listing of a dog/bitch. Where possible photographs are included in the pedigree. A stud dog list is available and hip, elbow and eye certificates are on these pedigrees.
